I was watching Oprah today (good show today BTW) and Marylin was chillin' beside me on the couch when she leaned over and planted a big kiss on my face. I was sooooooo touched! I didn't think I would get free kisses for a while :)

Sparkles

Marylin just loves this little blue leotard ... something about the sparkles are exciting.

Manners or Manipulation?

Marylin has figured out that saying "please" (or "puease, puease, puueeease") without being asked to, gets her what she wants. For example, she'll ask me for something (like a cracker or the like) and I'll say "No, Marylin" and sure enough she'll say "pueeesssee" and I simply cannot resist and I almost always give in. Am I a sucker or is she a charmer?!

Getting Ready for Summer

Marylin will be taking swimming lessons this summer so we went to the Disney Store to make sure she had a cutie swim suit. Once again, the Disney Store and Tink did not let us down. Is this cute or what? :)

Being Sick Sucks

Princess Marylin is still sick. She had a slight temperature yesterday which shot up to 102.2 this afternoon. I spoke with the lady at her doctor's office and they told me to bring her in tomorrow if it continues. Poor little love! I purchased a warm mist humidifier and have some type of vicks vapor in it. It's making the room humid and smelly like a hospital. Yuck. It's supposed to help loosen the gunk so ... a smelly room it is. Here's to hoping that tomorrow is a fever-free day!

The Princess is Sick

That's right folks, Marylin is sick with a cough today. She started coughing a bit yesterday afternoon and was restless and coughing during the night. I didn't take her to her ballet lessons this morning as I certainly don't want to expose the other little girls to Marylin's cough. Poor little love, let's hope this passes quickly. :(

Easter Egg Hunt

Marylin had a blast today at her very first Easter egg hunt. After gathering a couple of eggs, she had it down and started grabbing 2 to 3 eggs at a time. She totally scored and surprisingly enough she kept her bunny ears on for (almost) the whole time.

Fantastic Perfume

I highly suggest Baby Touch by Burberry for anyone interested in the perfect baby perfume. It is soooo fresh and it lasts almost all day. I spray it on Marylin every day (and sometimes I spray it on me, too). We both love it (she points to perfume and and then points to her neck when she wants a spritz). I admit, it's a little expensive, but the bottle will last a lifetime - ok not a lifetime, but a good while.

18 Month Check Up

I took Marylin to see her pediatrician this afternoon for her 18 month check up - she screamed the whole time :( She is very healthy and right on target both physically and mentally. She now weighs just under 24 lbs (50th percentile), she is 31.5 inches tall (50th percentile), and her head circumference is 48 3/4 cm (95th percentile) - she's packing the brains in there. ;) She got her last shot for a while and will not be returning for another routine visit until she is 2 years old. I'm sure she'll be happy about that.

Easter is Around the Corner

Easter is nearly upon us and with all the rain that we've been getting here in SoCal, Marylin and I decided that the perfect indoor activity would be stuffing little eggs with candy for her Friday morning Easter egg hunt with her friends.

Fun Day with Friends

Marylin got to hang out with her BFF Avery Jane, her little friend Theresa and her long lost boyfriend Neil, as we all braved the rain and met up for a play date just outside of Pasadena. Sadly, I only got one picture of our day and that is when Theresa and Marylin were fast asleep on our ride home.

Another Cute Ballet Outfit

Can I just say I LOVE having a little girl!? Thanks to Grandma Marylin for the cute outfit :) Marylin really tried to participate more this time but it was short lived. After 30 minutes of stretching, jumping, twirling and singing, she had enough of it. I guess 30 minutes is pretty fantastic for a little 18 month old though ... I can't complain :)
