Update on the Girls

I know, I'm a terrible blogger. :(

The girls are both doing well! Marylin started preschool a week ago and is doing fantastic (MUCH better than I thought). There were a couple tears the first day but that was it. By the second day she wanted to nap there with the other kids so I said yes (and told the teachers to call me if she changed her mind) and she stayed the whole time. What a big girl. She woke up last week and told her dad that she wanted to give Ami her binki (yes, we've been a little slow on the binki thing). She regretted her decision on the first day but after the day without it she hasn't asked for it since. Amazing. Marylin and I got our flu shot together this weekend. She didn't cry a bit - the nurses were so surprised (as was I!). It's amazing how much they grow up once the new little sibling comes along (or is it once she turned 3?).

Ami is doing great too. She is the roundest little pudding in town and is already wearing 6 month clothes (!!). She is giving us tons of those gummy little grins that I live for (yay). She is also starting to try to get things into her mouth. She'll be 4 months in about a week and will be going in for her well visit. I'm curious to see how much my little bubble weighs. I'll let you know. She is still the world's best sleeper (well, almost) and a nursing machine. We're looking forward to celebrating her first Thanksgiving with her next week down in Oregon with our dear friends Jon and Melanie and their girls. I'll make sure to post pictures ... :)

Halloween!

Marylin dressed up like a "Japanese Princess" (aka Geisha) for Halloween this year and Ami was a little lady bug. Microsoft organized a fun party for families full of crafts, food (and drinks!), tons of candy and free portraits. NICE. After enjoying the festivities we headed on over to one of the (many) buildings for office-to-office trick-or-treating (Marylin SCORED). After having some fun at MS we took Marylin to a nice neighborhood (soon to be our new neighborhood) for an evening of door-to-door trick-or-treating where she scored some more. Marylin's little Japanese costume was by far original and she received lots of compliments all evening. Ami had fun sleeping while her sister trick-or-treated. She'll get candy next year.

Enjoy a couple pictures.
